Our Communities

A central aspect of SUS’ work is community integration and outreach. We believe everyone has the right to live and work in the diverse neighborhoods that make up New York.

Our seniors reside in Fort Greene, Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill and Red Hook, Brooklyn. These neighborhoods reflect the diversity of New York City, as does our staff. Our staff are bilingual, speaking English, Spanish, French, Creole and Russian.

Considered a good neighbor, SUS seeks to be an integral part of the communities where we provide services-- recruiting staff from the neighborhood, purchasing goods and services from local vendors, and participating in community activities.
